Cooking up nonsense...

Haha...sorry Clem, that is just one story too interesting to let go. Anyway, been trying to understand "Brother's Kamarazov".
Btw, MayC, I'll cheer for your part. and I'll tell Wong Choon han you have his posterS in your room.

=============================================================

This blog....is especially dedicated to my junior Kan Wye Marn @ Tai lou.

This guy came in about a month ago and is having hell in Japan. Mainly bothered by studies (Can't catch what lects are jappering about) ...he hardly have a day which he can call "a normal day"....don't get me wrong, I don't mean to ridicule him here. It was just the same for me last year when I just got here. But I didn't complain or nag at my senior.....GAWD this guy can really nag....nag...nag...nag..nag....sheesh, even my left ear is bleeding now as I type. And what I get from a burst left eardrum?? and understanding that his favourite word is "shit".

Anyway, to make matters more "EXCITING" he decided to take up cooking. You see, he didn't really enjoy the food in the cafeteria and I don't find his comments on the food interesting either. So, yesterday, May 1st 2006 was a big day for him......he fried his own chicken and cooked his own vegetables. As for me, my big day was this afternoon when i had to cook my lunch using a partly melted frying pan.

Okay....can't blame beginners.....

For today's dinner, he decided to cook oyster sauce chicken with potatoes....so, along with my guidance, he manage to get everything done and left it to boil. And i left him on his own to do the finishing touches.....and he eventually burn the whole thing down. You see, I told him that the longer you leave it to boil, the nicer it is cos' the taste will "go inside" the meat. Being a good listener...he did just that....but (God knows why) he didn't know that water eventually dries. AND after 10-15 minutes of "leaving it to boil" .....the whole place stink of burnt rubber and he had to chow down "charcoal" for dinner.

I actually have tonnes and tonnes of criticism .................... but then again, who am I to comment right?? It's not like I was ever perfect.

Sigh.....just as I thought I could finally live a peaceful life.....fate always makes it exciting.
