Worst Chinese New Year ever!!!

Short talk:
Yeah...with my new 500GB hard disk, I'm back in business!! My computer is now nonsense compatible and able to upload crap to the internet. You know, it's kinda funny that, exactly 2 years ago in the the same month, my Malaysian senior's computer broke down....and he went missing a week after. Most of you should know about this as the embassy sent out alerts for the missing guy. With the same thing happening to me now, I might go missing as well!! Watch out for alerts by the embassy for me....

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As for today's entry, I would like to talk about the CNY "celebration" I had 2 weeks ago. It's a bit long but it's the funniest thing that have ever happened to me. Be patient and read a bit...
You see, for the past 2 years, I've been having exams during CNY and have not been able to fully express my festive mood. But this year....this year, my exams finished a day before CNY and I've had high hopes for a joyful event to make up for the two CNY that I missed.
I was lucky enough to meet with one of the Malaysian Chinese who have been working in Japan for 7 years. I shall call him L. L promised to take me out to a place where I can "feel the Chinese New Year atmosphere". So I was thinking "GREAT!!!" and invited fellow Lee Boon Hon, Koey loke Eng, and my junior Shuk Yee to join me. Since it was Chinese New Year event I was going to attend, I wore my red traditional Chinese suit...
Photobucket
Gong Xi Fa Cai....have no and pau but girls can take me as their "red packet"
In case you are wondering why I wore this ridiculously red suit out to the streets in Tokyo.....it's Chinese New Year!! Gotta wear red on the day....Anyway, we met up with L on a cheerful Sunday looking forward to a nice celebration together. L led us from the station through a maze of streets and buildings...not once did he mention where he was taking us to.
Suspense....suspense...
After walking for about 5 minutes, we ended up in front of a building with a lot of Korean speaking people....and I got suspicious as "What the hell? Why am I amongst Koreans on Chinese New Year??" I asked L but he simply told us that we would know once we're inside. Still suspicious, I followed him inside the building nonetheless.
After a brief ride in the elevator, we finally reached the designated destination. The door opened and I found myself staring at a lady standing on a stage holding a book, and there were a bunch of people sitting on long benches looking at that lady.......SHIT! I'M IN A CHURCH!!!! The lady is a pastor and the book she's holding is a bible...and the bunch of people sitting on long benches now looking at ME instead. Can you imagine me in that red chinese suit in a church on a Sunday?? Suddenly, that Sunday isn't a cheerful Sunday anymore....
Damn it...I got tricked into a church!!
Sigh....don't get me wrong though, I may be an agnostic but I don't have problem going to churches. But I DO have problem if you trick me into going to a church. I mean...what the hell is L trying to do? Using trickery to convert me into Christianity while I'm wearing a traditional Chinese suit?? What in the name of Jesus Christ was he thinking?!!!!
As much as I wanted to leave the church, it's something my conscience won't allow me....so I sat through the whole sermon. HOWEVER.....as irritated and upset as I am, Lee Boon Hon manage to make my day and made me laugh out loud.
We were all hungry at that time....and we were promised lunch after the sermon, so we held it out. But little did we know, we had to attend "Introduction of the Church" directly after the sermon at the cafeteria for newcomers. Tricked the second time.....And L was wicked enough to put food on the table when the lady pastor was giving introduction about the church.....talk about the devil's temptation to lure us away from Christianity. This time, Adam is Lee Boon Hon and the Forbidden Apple is a pack of sushi.
During the talk, Lee Boon Hon kept looking at my way....his eyes desperately pleading for me to join him eat as he is hungry but, incredibly, is shy about eating alone while the lady pastor is still giving a talk. But after a while....just like what happened to Adam, Lee Boon Hon chimed in, "Excuse me but I'm hungry and I have to eat" and reached for the pack of sushi!!
Lee Boon Hon opened the pack so fast that the lady pastor couldn't say anything to it as the pack was already being open.....hahahahahhahaha....
About a few minutes after Lee Boon Hon finished the pack of sushi, the lady pastor finish her talk, "Okay, NOW we have finished the introduction of the church...let's eat. BUT before we eat....let's say a prayer to thank the lord for the food." At once I look at Lee Boon Hon who have already eaten....once again..hahahahahaha........
And that's not it....later, we joined a group of people who made some Korean food. A bowl of rice with some kind of soup. It was quite a big bowl, and Lee Boon Hon having eaten quite a bit, "Sorry, but this bowl of rice is a little too much for me. I can't finish this." Guess who was beside him at that time.....the lady pastor!!! "Oh....so NOW you've had enough." Hahahahaha....sounds exactly like what God would say.
It was definitely the worst Chinese New year I've ever had...being tricked into a church while dressing wrongly, but then again, I would not have this tale to tell if I hadn't been tricked!!
Way to go Lee Boon Hon!! Man...I'm so looking forward to going out with you again!!
The all so amazing JK....
Photobucket
The girl in the pic is my girlfriend.....damn, wish I could lie better. This pic was taken from Danny Choo actually....
The term JK means Joshi Kousei (Japanese high school girls)....not Joking...or Joe King. The pic above is a typical Japanese high school girl in her uniform. And YES, their skirt is this short even when they go to school. Apparently, they get better marks from male teachers...Anyway, this post is not about beautiful legs under ridiculously short skirt. But read on...lols guaranteed.
Just this morning, while I was happily chewing on my piece of toast, one of the TV channel(forgot which one) showed the popular abbreviations used by JK lately....it was so gawd damn funny that I almost became the first human to die from choking on a piece of toast!!
I know that most of you only use the term JK or KY which means kuuki yomenai which translates directly to "tak boleh baca angin". Haha...we Malaysians have "makan angin" and Japanese "baca angin"....it figures, right? I mean, us Malaysians have always liked to eat and you can always see Japanese reading a book! But seriously, KY means can't understand the situation or being a wet blanket. KY seems to be the popular one at this time around but the ones on TV were the most creative thing I've ever seen in 2008.
Here's the list...
ATM = Ahona Tousan Mou iranai (Don't need my stupid father)
MM = Maji mukatsuku (Really irritating)
3M = Majide Mou Muri (Really can't do it anymore)
IT = Aisu(Ice) tabetai (Want to eat ice cream)
HD = Hima dakara Denwa suru (I called because I'm free)
MW = Mou Wakaranai (Don't know...)
There were a few more but I've forgotten them....sigh, should have wrote them down on my toast with strawberry jam....
Anyway, when I first saw them on TV, I thought it was just normal education stuff teaching English abbreviations....
ATM = atmosphere
IT = Information Technology
HD = hard disk
those kind of stuff, right? And that's when I saw MW....I thought it was some Abbrev. that I've never seen before, so I went to take a closer look. And that's when I saw the rest and that's also when I almost choke to death on my toast...
Man.....it's so funny I'm still laughing now as I type.
Song stuck in my head..
Photobucket
Now...now...you must be wondering who are these 3 girls and why Randy is posting a pic of 3 not that very cute nor pretty girls, right? Well, I somehow find them very sexy.... even sexier than Angelina Jolie!
These three girls are actually members of a Japanese rock band, Noodles. Okay, short intro for the group....Noodles is a Japanese rock band consists of Yoko (vocals/guitarsitting in front ), Ayumi (drumsleft) and Ikuno (bassright).
Do I find girls playing musical instruments sexy? HELL YEAH!!! Rock on babes...
For girls out there who have interest in me....ehem...strum a guitar, play a piano, or just singing will turn me on big time.
For the rest who are laughing, you can stop now. Thank you very much.
Now, I know many of you readers like the song "Soba ni iru yo" by Soul Ja. It's a song about persevering love unbound by time or distance.
For me, my song is "Splash" by Noodles. It's the 1st song in the playlist above. I love this song sooo much that it got stuck in my head for many weeks now. This song got stuck in my brains so deep that it practically begs to be blogged about.
This song, is about how feelings that had emerged unexpectedly out of nowhere....and that we can't help but wonder if the person you like would accept you....and also about hope and dreams that ensue.
Here's the lyrics....
例えプランターの中の種でも
(Even the seed in a planter)
光を見ていたいよ
look at sky, look at sky,
(Wants to see the light)
I know. Don't change mind.
例えば映らない鏡の中も
変われない私を笑ったていいよ
(Even if it won't show up in the mirror
It's OK to laugh at the part of me that can't change)
I know. Change the world.
I can't stop my feelings yet.
this is the last splash.
what do you hear it?
In universe alone.
my friend of mind.
give me a hand.
give me a hand.
and take me faraway.
それはどこからともなくやってきて
私の心に住み着いてしまった
(It came out of nowhere
And settled down inside my heart)
yes? no?, which one?
I can't stop my feelings yet.
this is my last splash.
what do you hear it?
In universe alone.
my friend of mind.
give me a hand.
give me a hand.
and take me faraway.
I can't stop my feelings yet.
this is my last splash.
what do you hear it?
In universe alone.
my friend of mind.
give me a hand.
give me a hand.
and take me faraway.
Once more,
give me a hand.
give me a hand.
and take me faraway.
take me faraway
The lyrics somehow speaks to me....must be because of the way I'm feeling (Ooooh....Randy likes a girl!!!). But mostly, I like this song because of the beat, rhythm, guitar&bass play....not forgetting that sexy voice she have.
Damn....just can't get this song out of my head. And playing it 10 times a day isn't helping either.
The day ® got added to Randy...
>anonymous
Whoever you are....so you want me to smile more often or not? To scare people or to look silly....that is the question.
>ns29
I'm not in my shirt because I want to show off my tan....
Anyway, yeah...can protect the girl from harm. But the thing is, I always end up scaring the girl 1st....
>stevelee
Hmm..yeah, i suppose you are right. No harm looking a bit scary...at least people will think twice if they want to stand near me in a crowded train!
>Kelly
Most of my old friends will probably describe me as "the gentle giant".......probably...maybe....anyway, the worst harm always comes from the guy who smile the sweetest.
>calvin
I actually wanted to do a botak cut!! But that hairdresser convince me otherwise...
>MayC
YEAH!! I'll be a bad boy....I'll be a BEAST!!....but I wonder if a beauty would come and dance with me. Hmm...better practice ballroom dancing from today...
*From now on, I think I'll answer comments in the comments box....start to see that it's pointless talking about the previous post. And that way, you can "shoot" me at more angles than before...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

From this day on, I'll be spelling my name like this.... ®andy. ® here means I'm trademark-ed. You all will have to pay me royalty the next time you mention, write or even think of my name...wah ha ha ha.

But seriously no. Please, use my name at your disposal at any time. What I'm really trying to say is that I've got my own patent(copyrighted design) in Japan. Yes, you read it right, Randy...oops, excuse me....®andy managed to create something and registered it under Japan Patent Office.

See guys? I'm not all crap, jokes, nonsense, funny words, shitty phrase and laugh guy. Just like all of you, I have a brain that works(I know it's hard to believe this fact but please bear with it) and had manage to set up my own intellectual property here in Japan.

Well actually, I've got the patent about half a year ago. Don't know why I've never thought of blogging about it before until my mom mentioned it to me. Anyway, the story goes like this...

I attended a class on Intellectual Property about 2 years ago. One day, my lecturer mentioned that there was a Patent Competition going on and urged us to try....it was a class of 60+ students but only 3 guys(me and 2 jap guys) stood up to the challenge. The mighty 3 showed them all who had the biggest balls in the class....we proudly showed them that we don't really have the biggest balls... the title goes to another guy BUT our brains ARE bigger our balls so...no shame there. Anyway, it was a competition where we are required to design and create something...anything...then send it to the Japan Patent Office to be evaluated. The competition is nationwide and the selected ones will be registered for free. Now, please know that to register cost a lot of money....about ¥300000(RM9000++) and they paid for all the expenses.

And our creation?

Photobucket

A paper punch which can punch all the holes on a standard B5 or A4 size paper at one go. It is slim, light and can be carried inside your binder.

Now....this may look like a simple design...and it is simple....but we put in a lot of our thoughts in this. We had to show that this is a patent worthy design, and there's a lot more detailed pics explaining the design but....let's not bore us here.
Thinking up this design is hard but the paperwork is a real pain in the ass. Lucky for me I have 2 jap guys in my team so, they do most of the paper work. I'm fluent enough in Japanese... but as for writing stuff for patent? My Japanese isn't that good yet. But like I said...I have 2 jap guys to overcome my inability, and this is what you call teamwork!!

Finally, by summer last year, we got a letter and a certificate from Japan Patent Office saying that we're one of the 17 selected ones out of 241 entries.

Photobucket
The red box indicates my name written in Japanese characters.

Now....now I'll just have to wait for someone to be interested in my design so that they will buy the copyright and make me a rich ass mo**********

SO...as for marketing strategies....

Photobucket

I know that THIS monster of a face will not do me any good. Cancel face features...replace with...

Photobucket

See that cheeky smile that unmistakably makes me look like a pimp? Now that's a sure winner!!

Bad boy is back in town!!

>Clem
I actually took a whole lot more....for one hour i had to decide which pic not to put in.

>ns29
Actually...YES! She did ask me to pay her....well, not exactly pay but asked me to buy her poster which cost 500 yen....or was it more?? Anyway, i refused to buy her poster but i did stayed back a bit to chat with her.

>calvin
Yeah....this is the "toned down" version of my collection. I have....*cough... a lot more girls pic....*cough

>Kelly
Yeah, I liked the elegant chic too. Aww damn it, who am I kidding.... I liked all the girls there!!

>Steve Lee
Really? Ok....and please volunteer more when we go to Turkey.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Photobucket
SO.....how do I look?
Yup, went for a haircut(again) and asked for ridiculousness for style. For years I have been branded as "tough", "scary", "gangster looking", etc... and as you know it, that kind of remark isn't what you label as "compliment".
I have always been kind to girls....ehem....TRY to be kind to girls. I have tried to smile myself silly for no reason...and have always avoided fights. Heck, I've even followed my mother to the market!! And yet certain people fear me for my look. Especially in Japan where guys are a lot smaller size(not height) than me, people tend to fear me and try not to speak to me for fear that "I will eat them". I still remember that there was once a kid who saw me, then ran to hide be hind his mother's legs, pointed at me and say "こわい にいちゃん!" (means scary guy).
Which brings me to ask myself.....am I really that scary looking?
Be honest...had you not known me and see me approaching you, would you hand me your wallet, drop on your knees and beg for your life??
As for people who knows my brother, they will ask me why is that my brother look so pure, innocent, handsome while I'm a little on the rugged, rough type...and my dark skin's is not helping much to better people's opinion on me. Anyway, here's my brother's pic..
Photobucket
Yeah...yeah....I know, he looks different from me. Please feel free to comment though.
ANYWAY, the story behind my hairstyle is....
Last week, I thought that my hair was long so I went to the hair salon to get it trimmed. So, went there and met up with the guy who's been doing my hair for almost a year. ..
Hair dude: So...what kind of style do you want?
Me: I think I like it short, as for the style....I'll leave it to you. Surprise me.
Hair dude: Surprise you? *grin
Me: Yeah...let's do it!
*1 hour later...
Hair dude: Ok...done.
Me: Whoa....what the...
Hair dude: I thought I'd do for you a style that will suit you best. but I think I may have ended up making you look scarier than before!!
Me: Hmm....well, thanks anyway....
And the result is....
Photobucket
Sigh...I think I may have to finally give up my hope on trying to look like Mr. Nice guy and accept my fate. And if you think this is bad, you have not seen me in a blazer yet...
I think god may have meant for me to become a gangster...but something went wrong somewhere and I picked up a pen instead of a parang.
I mean....if a professional hair stylist thought that I should look like this, I guess there's nothing much I can say now, can I? Best accept the fact that I'm born to scare people until I crack them up with my jokes.
Anyway, here's more of me from the side and back...
SO.....honestly, what do you think? How do i look??
Tokyo Auto Salon Show.
>Kelly
Thanks....my nose is no longer running away from me anymore.
>MayC
As a little kid, I've always thought that Ariel the Mermaid is the most beautiful girl on Earth. And Superman?? Yeah he was cool, but the blue Genie was my Hero...not guy with bright red underwear.
>Liyin
I headed for the Tower as soon as I got in....waited only for about 30mins. I enjoyed it soo much, especially the part where the doll disappeared, that I went again right after! So you can say that I rode the "Elevator of Death" twice in an hour...
>Steve Lee
Oi..oi....we all got flu mostly at the same time so don't blame me!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I've just got my new haircut...yeah, a wild one...and was thinking of blogging about my hairdo. But I know that y'all prefer to see cars and sexy models rather than see my hair so...let's save it for the next post.

So what's Tokyo Auto Salon(TAS) Show anyway?

TAS is a show with custom cars...you know, cars with special paint and vinyls, modified body and engine....in shorter words, cool cars. And the models that accompany the cars are good stuff too. Better than the models at Tokyo Motor Show.

This event is all nice cars and nicer models so...little room for crap here. Anyway, here's the pics...

Photobucket
Like all shows with Cars and Models, a lot of people attend them. Their sole purpose? Getting in the way and preventing me from getting good shots of cars...

Photobucket
The 3 guys who went to the show....
We were bored with taking pictures of models and cars, and we decide to do a little mischief. We've decided to approach a model and ask her to take a picture of us instead of the other way round. Been taking their pic the whole day...time for them to return a favour, don't you think?....but then, we saw a booth with 2 models....so, I suddenly had a bright idea of asking one of the models to take a picture of us with another model, then walk away...and that was precisely what we did. But seconds after we left the booth, we saw the model(took pic WITh us) quarreled with model(took pic OF us)....haih, seems like our silly mischief broken up a perfectly good friendship.

Kinda regret doing what I did....but then again, this pic became a pic with a story to remember by...

Photobucket
Says "Rice Rocket". The owner wanted to tell the world that rice is Japan's staple food.

Nissan unveiled the future of automobile....you'll be piloting a robot instead of driving a car. This way, you'll get to shoot rockets at cars who overtake you......now how cool is that? Say goodbye to the days when you can only show the middle finger.

Photobucket
The three Daihatsu babes....they done well cashing in on Japanese men's fetish for babes with glasses.

Photobucket
And here's the two fools who lined up to get our picture taken with the 3 babes with glasses. We both got polaroid shots each..

Photobucket
Another cool car...

Photobucket
There was a Lamborghini on display and I tricked him into getting into the car....haha...see the expression on his face? That's when the guy in charge told him to "GET OUT!!". They decided to close the doors after that so that no one else would try to get in.

Haih....Boon....so easily conned by me...

Photobucket
Wicked 22 inch wheels....

Photobucket

Last car of the day.....couldn't think of any better car to end the day with...

The day ended with me almost being hospitalized. I lost so much blood (nose bleeds) from looking at sexy models the whole day.....must bring a few blood packs with me next time.
