A Diarrhearific Hari Raya

>Richard Styver Steve Carlos Lee Boon Hon
Oops....yeah, my mistake there. Chin Wooi loves Twins more than his own mother, not S.H.E . My kohai recently told me likes S.H.E....that's why I got mix-up.

The one you ate was Nasi Ayam....though the ayam goreng ran out before you came. And lucky you didn't follow me to the embassy...

Well....yes and no. My main purpose of blogging is not to fetch comments but I do enjoy reading other people's opinion on what I wrote.
Besides, Cosplay is one of Japan's most popular sub-culture around....so, I kinda expected a lot of comments on how nice it is...how crazy it is....whether they feel like trying out cosplay....you know, that sort of stuff....hmm, maybe they are just scared of being called "otaku". I don't....I'm a self-confessed "otaku in the making"!!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If you could remember what I said in my last blog, you'd probably know how much I looked forward to Hari Raya. As Raya is one of the few events in Japan that can really remind you of home. And I have to give my compliments to the staff at the embassy for doing such a good job at preparing the food and the festive mood.
At the embassy, they had everything that could perfectly resemble Malaysia, more with the fact that it is prepared by the Malaysian Embassy. We had Nasi Briyani, Ayam masak merah, ketupat, rendang....and even diarrhea!! You can't ask for anything better than that combination.
Being in Japan for so long, I've came to realize that Japan is a very health conscious country. Always being careful at what they serve, both nutrition and cleanliness wise. So, being here for almost 3 years, I've not gotten diarrhea (not even stomach discomfort), not once!! But in Malaysia...well, we all had our share at eating at mamak and hawker stalls and we all know how unhygienic it can get. We all know how high the risk was at getting sick from eating all those junk (delicious junk they were though.....).
So...as to remind us students in Japan that they can always feel at home in the embassy, they planned to make us all sick this Raya. They managed to contaminate the Ayam masak merah with something(I don't wanna know what that is) that caused all of us to suffer diarrhea through the night.
You know, it's funny that I'm saying this but...Wow, I almost forgot what diarrhea felt like!! For a moment there, I could swear that I was undergoing the long awaited human evolution. Holy Shit! I'm evolving into a woman! Charles Darwin was right after all!! Oh no wait....it's just stomach cramps. Sigh....this is going to be a loooong night.....and a long night it was. My butt was like a leaking pipe the whole night! And I thought that I was peeing through...well, you know what I'm gonna say, so I'll just stop here and leave the rest to your imagination.
Sigh....what a day on Raya.
But on the contrary, it was quite a nice day actually. I mean, we later headed to staff house's and had our "2nd round" of makan....they had very very nice bihun sup, rendang with ketupat and kuah kacang, sambal, lontong...not to mention a few kinds of kuih raya. Most of friends were there.....rekindle old friendships, catching up with others and I made some new ones. I met one who flew all the way here from Malaysia. Imagine that! Flying to Japan to celebrate Raya!!
After the open house, we went to a restaurant to chat some more. We end up talking a lot about girls and sex and gays, which kind of weird when I think of it again. I mean, we just met with each other and were having such conversation at a dinner table. Hmm.....whatever that makes you happy, right?
Anyway, I suffered yesterday and so did many other. But after what happened, will I go again next year? Of course I will!!!!
