Tokyo Game Show 2007

Thanks a lot fellas.....it means a lot to me. ON a second thought, maybe I should have spoken out in English and see how that guy squirm and struggle to try to answer me back in English!! Bet he would have left me alone after "I'm sorry, but you shouldn't touch my sister you asshole". Hmm....this could actually work! Ok....will try to get into a fight again as soon as I can.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Before you proceed any further, please be warned that this entry will contain a LOT of pictures. So, if your web browser take a long time to load.....well, don't go elsewhere!! Go get some popcorn instead and wait for it to load, you lazy ass %#&%$#%!!!!!!!!!!!
One more thing that you should know before proceeding, though the title says "Tokyo Game Show 2007"....the pics I took are mostly pics of various cosplay. Cosplay here means costume play.....as in crazy people with too much money and have nothing else better to do donning costumes of characters in anime, games....etc.
Okay...okay, I take back what I said. Cosplays here are not just people dressing up fancy. Cosplays here actually study the character they represent and then post accordingly. Real high quality stuff...and all of them have calling cards so just in case someone gets interested, they can call these people to do promotion works. The same goes for cameramen....they hope that the pics they take can be sold.
Well, the pics shown here do not....I repeat, DO NOT contain any pics regarding games....you see, I wanted to take pics and videos of game demos shown there. And they really have good stuff there but then I figured out that, you might as well log on to the official websites to view them in better quality than those that I might have taken, right? Why waste my time taking videos of them?
But damn.....games from PS3 are really living up to it's name....the monster machine. Games like Metal Gear Solid4, Heavenly Sword, Gran Turismo.....words cannot describe the beautiful display those games show on the PS3. Games from other platforms, as for example Halo3 on XBOX 360 have really good graphics but not as smooth as PS3 can project.
Hmm....actually I think that words can describe them. The gameplay is like looking at a animation movie. For those who have played games enough knows that, the graphics level drop significantly during gameplay because the CPU simply can't process the immense information received from player feedback.....but for PS3, you will somehow lose track of when the movie begins and when the game actually begins!! The movie just flows right into gameplay mode. I tried a game called "Heavenly Sword"......damn, nearly cried from witnessing such beauty and grace of the gameplay. Not forgetting to mention that, my character almost died because I thought it was still in movie mode.
Ok, I guess you got what I meant to say..."PS3 rules!!!!" So here are the pics...enjoy.
I would have taken more if I had more time.....you see, I had to line up just to take these pics. At the show, I had to balance my time between these girls and the games on the show. I even had to forget lunch!!
The night I almost got into a fight...
Tonight's the one night which I think I'll remember forever. Tonight's the night when I almost went crazy and lose my mind.....
Actually, today was the day that I was suppose to enjoy myself. There was a festival going on at a city name 石岡(Ishioka). It's said to be the 3rd biggest festival in Kantou(Middle of Japan) area. So I was there with a group of people...mostly foreigners who came to Japan for homestay. There was a Spanish guy, Swiss guy, American guy, a Chinese girl and my godsister from my foster family in Japan. I was having a great time at the festival...with a cute Chinese girl who stays by my side almost all the time, today was suppose to be.....well, said it many times already.....fun.
But then ....trouble came out of nowhere. A guy...drunk, with tattoo all over his arm....came by my group and hugged my godsister from the back. Seeing that, I pulled him away and kinda shoved him a bit. I know that I shouldn't be provoking a yakuza, but then again, I can't just stand there and watch him hurt my god-sister right?
After that shove, I tried to quickly walk away to avoid trouble, right thing to do, right? But seems that that guy, with his pride hurt, wouldn't let me go just like that. He grabbed me on my sleeve and started hurling vulgarities and words that.....well, I think he was trying to threaten me. So, I said I'm sorry, said that that's my sister and tried to walk away again......this time, he grabbed me harder and showed off his tattooed arm, saying that he belong to the yakuza....I was pretty sure he was trying to get into a fight with me.
So....at that moment, something happened to me that even now scares the shit out of me. You see, when he was threatening me with his "tattoo" .... I wasn't scared of him and his friends(3 more of them) ... but I was filled with rage and anger. All I focus on at that moment was him and him alone. I just stood there with a blank face with a blank mind...and with the rage so intense that I was actually longing for contact with flesh and bones to my fist.
He wasn't holding on to me and his friends was trying to pull him away but I just....stood there, willing him to hit me so that I could him back. I wanted to hurt him so bad....
But right at that moment, before I could do something stupid someone interrupted to save the day. A guy dressed in white walked between us to break us up and that moment, I was brought back to reality and I quickly walked away before madness could overcome me.
I really feel grateful for that guy who walked in between us. Cause' I don't know what I would have done back there. I mean...I was really hoping to hurt that guy at that moment.
Now, I can't help wonder what kind of guy am I....am I insane? I mean, am I in the normal state of mind? I may be smiling and joking all the time.....most of you know me to be quite talkative and fun, but deep down, am I a sadist who enjoy causing pain to other people? Am I a crazy guy after all?
This thought really scares the shit out of me. I don't expect I'll be able to sleep well tonight...
Medically hilarious...
>no37
Yeah...I had a terrible pimple on my face that day. Had to hide it now, don't I.....
>kelly
Wah.....do you have to make it like I'm the loneliest guy on the planet!! I know that this is nothing compared to your trip to China...dressing up like a China Doll.
>stevelee67
Dude....there's no kura-kura on Mt. Fuji!! Hmm...or maybe there was, we just couldn't catch up with it.
>joanne
Umm....which Joanne are you? Tried to log into your profile but was rejected...
>Shuk Yee
Sorry.....didn't know for sure if you were as crazy as us. Will ask you out for trips next time....
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I uhh....have almost nothing to blog about these days due to my inactivity in the outside world. Well...it's not like I decided to be a hermit crab (just being a crab will do). I do go out for jogging and doing barbells....but it's not something to blog about right? I mean, who the hell wants to read:

"I went out for jogging today....I put my left foot down, lifted my right, hop forward a little and landed with my right. Then I hop forward again with my right foot and landed with my leftfoot .....right foot, left foot....right foot, left foot....and on the way I almost stepped on a pile of dog shit with my left foot but was unable to avoid it with my right foot in time."

See what I mean? Boring shit right? And I'm not the type to blog about politics or racial issues....got bored of it a long time ago....and now with the government watching, can't simply write stuff right? Not cool to have my dad apologize for my behalf on National TV. Anyway, I decided to put in some funny medical reports posted by my now slim friend who once wasn't (I'm talking about Ong Ai Jun, my classmate back in highschool)....here it is, enjoy.

The following quotes were taken from actual medical records dictated by physicians. They appeared in a column written by Richard Lederer, Ph.D. for the Journal of Court Reporting. These and other language gems will be featured in Lederer's new book - Fractured English, to be published by Pocket Books in the fall of 1997.

  • By the time he was admitted, his rapid heart had stopped, and he was feeling better.
  • Patient has chest pain if she lies on her left side for over a year.
  • On the second day the knee was better and on the third day it had completely disappeared.
  • She has had no rigors or shaking chills, but her husband states she was very hot in bed last night.
  • The patient has been depressed ever since she began seeing me in 1983
  • Patient was released to outpatient department without dressing.
  • I have suggested that he loosen his pants before standing, and then, when he stands with the help of his wife, they should fall to the floor.
  • The patient is tearful and crying constantly. She also appears to be depressed.
  • Discharge status: Alive but without permission.
  • The patient will need disposition, and therefore we will get Dr. Blank to dispose of him.
  • Healthy appearing decrepit 69 year-old male, mentally alert but forgetful.
  • The patient refused an autopsy.
  • The patient has no past history of suicides.
  • The patient expired on the floor uneventfully.
  • Patient has left his white blood cells at another hospital.
  • The patient's past medical history has been remarkably insignificant with only a 40 pound weight gain in the past three days.
  • She slipped on the ice and apparently her legs went in separate directions in early December.
  • The patient experienced sudden onset of severe shortness of breath with a picture of acute pulmonary edema at home while having sex which gradually deteriorated in the emergency room.
  • The patient had waffles for breakfast and anorexia for lunch.
  • Between you and me, we ought to be able to get this lady pregnant.
  • The patient was in his usual state of good health until his airplane ran out of gas and crashed.
  • Since she can't get pregnant with her husband, I thought you would like to work her up.
  • She is numb from her toes down.
  • While in the ER, she was examined, X-rated and sent home.
  • The skin was moist and dry.
  • Occasional, constant, infrequent headaches.
  • Coming from Detroit, this man has no children.
  • Patient was alert and unresponsive.
  • When she fainted, her eyes rolled around the room.
  • MD during a physical exam, stated, in my ears, "I am unable to arouse this woman", personally, I really don't think he should have bragged about it.

A moonlit pathway to heaven...

>Calvin
Yeah...that's true. But sadly, I'm an atheist....I'm not into any religion, so that words of wisdom don't apply to me!

>Kelly
Yeah..my hp's display changed too. But too bad for me, he also blast his speakers during autumn to keep the leaves from falling too near his room.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It all started from a phone call I received at 11 at night. Conversation is as follows...
Me: Yeah? whassup??
Richard Lee: Randy, you free tomorrow??
Me: Of course! It's holidays....why?
Richard Lee: Wanna climb Mt. Fuji tomorrow?
Me: WHAT THE HELL? Mt. Fuji tomorrow? You must be crazy!! .....Ok, I'm in. Tomorrow you say?
Richard Lee: yeah...let's meet up in Tokyo at noon.
And it is agreed.....we will be climbing Mt. Fuji the following day...just like that!! Man, it is great to have a friend as crazy as him...
So, I packed my stuff that night itself....preparing myself to tread the pathway to the heavens. We met up in Tokyo with 6 other crackheads like us. Long story short, we reached base camp at 6 pm...
As you can see in the pic, we were way above the clouds already....and the place was damn beautiful. The mountain were like a woman's bosom .... teasing us with the challenge to come if we were to reach the tip...... while the clouds were forming various shapes...telling us of tales of travelers who have ventured here and promising to preserve our stories next. It was hard to resist from taking pics everything!!
And we promptly set off on the trail upwards at 8 pm. Didn't take any pics along the way cause it was too dark....did I mention it was dark? Well, it was dark. And right at that moment in the darkness.....a light bulb lit above my head. No, it wasn't that I got any "bright ideas"...a light bulb really lit above my head, I bought a headlamp.
Anyway, at the beginning we were all climbing at quite a quick pace.....we were excited like rabbits. Big mistake that was. We had to stop to rest after just 20 minutes of climb.....lame huh? Ever seen rabbits stopping to rest? That was a saddest day for rabbits since the advert of the rabbits playing drums on TV (Energizer advert). May sound weak but it was really tiring. Long story short, we cleared the greens (trees and shrubs) and soon found ourselves on a rocky pathway. Almost nothing line the trail except rocks and loose dirt....and 7 other crazy guys who tires themselves out as fast as your grandpa.
This, is the 8th wonder of the world. The drink machine that exist almost everywhere in Japan. But like what they put in the website.....the price rises as the altitude rises (This drink normally cost 150 yen....but it's 400 yen up here. )
OKay...here's the pics of the sun rising...
And as a proof that I didn't steal those pics from anywhere, here's me...
The sunrise here is quite special really.....or it must have felt special after a really long ridiculous climb. Yeah....that's right, that moment you tire yourself up completely, you get to rest a bit and enjoy the change of scenery. Shivering from the cold up there, it warms your heart to see the sun break the clouds...just like.....hmm, better not say out loud here. Not sure if I have underage readers....ehem....
Anyway, the climb down is more ridiculous than the climb up....
If I was on a moonlit pathway to heaven, well, it rejected my application and spat me down to a hell of dirt!!! As you can see in the pic, the way down is like a giant ramp of dirt sloping downwards at a 30 degree angle. But it's thankfully brief. Took me 8.5 hours to reach the top but only 1.5 hour to climb down the dirt road. To think about what I said....kinda true right? Takes a lot of hard work and a long time to reach heaven but you can go to hell easily in an instant. From my experience climbing, well..... going to hell is a whole lot easier and fun!! Ehem...forgive me for my blasphemy.
All in all, I had fun climbing. Although now my legs hurt and I can't walk like a 22 year old...it was fun. BUT......but it's not something I would do again. Once is enough.
